The PGD Marble Inlay Jewellery Box is crafted by artisans in Agra using the same Pietra Dura technique that adorns the Taj Mahal. Each box is carved from a single block of Makrana marble — the same white marble used in the Taj — and inlaid by hand with semi-precious stones including lapis lazuli, malachite, mother of pearl, and carnelian. The floral patterns are first drawn on the marble surface, then channels are chiselled out and stone slivers are carefully set and polished flush with the surface. This is a process that takes 5–7 days per box. The hinged lid opens to a velvet-lined interior with a removable tray. At 15cm × 10cm, it is sized for jewellery, keepsakes, or as a luxury presentation box.
